Carpet Cleaning Marietta, Newnan & Peachtree City GA
BEWARE of all carpet cleaning companies from Marietta, Newnan, Peachtree City and Griffin GA offering to clean your carpets on the cheap, and claiming to have equal results and service. The numbers just don't add up...
For example, a typical Cargo Van (8 cylinders) burns around 8 miles to the gallon, while the truck mounted extraction machine burns 4 gallons per hour of run-time. First, if the company travels 16 miles one-way (32 miles ttl), that is $14 in gas cost. Next, if the company runs their machine for 1.5 hours, they have incurred an additional $21 in cost. You're already at $35 just in the cost of gas (@ $3.50/gal). Third, what about the cost of quality carpet cleaning solutions, detergents, and enzymes? Finally, think about the cost of the water in the truck mounted supply tank, the Van's finance payment, the truckmount payment (good one's cost $22,000-$29,000), maintenance on the van (tires, brakes, oil, etc.), maintenance on the equipment (filters, waste dump, etc.), insurance cost (approx. $550/mo.), advertising costs (how did you find the company?), overhead such as internet access, phone lines, cell service. We haven't even considered employee pay and lost time traveling to/from the job...A company would need to process one room every 10 minutes to be viable! 10 MINUTES? That alone is the required detergent dwell time for the ONLY APPROVED cleaning process! How can you vacuum, pre-spray, rake & agitate, and extract in that amount of time? YOU CAN'T!

Today’s carpets are engineered to capture and hold particulate soils that may not be visible but can damage carpet due to their abrasive nature. Your carpet actually performs as a very good filter removing particulates from the air so that they do not become airborne. Just like any other type of filter, carpets need to be cleaned or a buildup of soil will occur.
The true outcome of the job greatly depends on the quality of machinery, equipment, products, and process used. Most often, Certified Firms and technicians do not follow approved cleaning standards. Just because a firm claims IICRC certification, does not guarantee they are following IICRC Carpet Cleaning Standards. A survey of carpet cleaning customers, along with our own experience and questioning of practices, indicates that no other firm in the Metro Atlanta area follows all of the steps and processes approved by the IICRC, CRI, and leading carpet manufacturers. The ONLY process approved by carpet manufacturers' and the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) for properly cleaning and sanitizing carpets includes pre-vacuuming, raking & agitating, and allowing 10-15 minutes of solution dwell time prior to extraction. Companies typically remove these steps to save time and cost in providing the service. Some companies just spray hot water on the carpet and extract it, calling it "Steam Cleaning". Chances are, if you're paying $10, $15, or $20 per area to be cleaned, you are getting little more than you could do yourself with an over-the-counter cleaning agent and a vacuum...
CARPET SEVERELY SOILED BY PETS
Cleaning your carpets is a lot like washing your clothes, the outcome depends on the quality of the machine, the wash process, and the detergents used. Just like your washing machine agitates your clothes to get them clean, it is very important that your carpet cleaner RAKE & AGITATE the carpet to make sure the detergents contact the soil. THAT IS THE ACTUAL CLEANING PART! The point at which the vacuum hose and solution lines are brought in, hooked to an extraction tool (seen in picture at bottom of page), is actually the RINSE step in the overall process. You would not put your clothes on rinse cycle only, would you? We do not vary our service process based on price, charging different prices for severe soiling, deep scrub, or vacuuming. These are all part of the cleaning process. Some cleaners get around the TOTAL cleaning process by calling their technique "Steam Cleaning". While steam cleaning has some cleaning effect, it is merely PART of the cleaning process, NOT THE ENTIRE PROCESS.
Remember, 4 things are essential for effective cleaning:
Chemical, Agitation, Dwell Time (approx. 10-15 minutes), and Heat.
Rainbow International's® Peachtree City Professionals exceed the Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Certifications (IICRC) standards for Professional Carpet Care Cleaning on EVERY job. We only use equipment, products, processes, and systems rated Gold Standard or higher by the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI). We use a high-efficiency, truck-mounted cleaning system and utilize Bio-degradable cleaning solutions.
Expect the following above industry standard process, you won't see the other guys doing:
2. Pre-Condition - Application of Rainbow's Pre-spray concentrate to suspend soil, Rainbow's Dry-Slurry heavy duty detergent to break down tough spots, and finally, an enzyme & oxydizing agent. This covers a wide spectrum of contaminant removal, heavy-duty soiling, organic stain removal, and enzymes that digest source matter of odor-causing proteins such as vomit, urine, feces, blood, food, etc.
3. Rake and Agitate - the pre-spray with a Grandi-Groom so that the detergent is worked beyond the surface and comes into contact with the entire carpet deep down.
4. Hot water extraction - using Rainbow's All-Fiber Rinse solution heated to over 230 degrees. The rinse solution neutralizes the detergents and leaves zero residue behind, it also speeds drying, impedes browning, and brightens the carpet as it dries. In addition, a deodorizer is added to leave your carpet smelling clean and sanitary.
5. Drying – Carpets will feel dry to the touch within 30-45 minutes; however, it is recommended to give them 4 to 6 hours to dry completely, depending the type of carpet.
BEFORE Rainbow International arrived.
AFTER our typical cleaning process.
Most carpet manufacturers recommend carpet cleaning service at least once per year, and in fact, most require you to clean your carpet atleast every 18 months by a professional Atlanta area carpet cleaning company that uses hot water extraction techniques, otherwise, your warranty is voided.
Over time, as your carpet is trafficed and vacuumed, the original fiber protectant (typically Stainmaster®) is worn away. In order to maintain protection and resiliance, as well as extend the life and appearance of your carpet, we do recommend allowing us to re-apply Scotchgard®after our cleaning.
