The Condominium Insurance Market is extremely specialized. Rainbow International of North York understands the complexity of invoicing and the trauma that is caused in one's life during the water loss experience. In order to invoice correctly, Rainbow must be provided accurate information outlining what constitutes a standard unit to determine what is an improvement. Improvements are not covered under the under the Condominium's Insurance Coverage.
Rainbow International of North York has developed a system to support the Condominium Community while documenting a complex residential water loss. The Condominium Advance Restoration and Emergency System - [C.A.R.E.S.]. This system was created as a communication tool to use during emergency water escape situations. Having a system in place to handle the extensive amount of paperwork is mandatory for a Commercial Drying Specialists.
The concept of C.A.R.E.S. is to have all required information for processing an insurance claim in advance of an emergency. The way we can streamline the process is by going to the on-line registration page which allows individuals to enter information through a lead form into our secure database. For individuals that do not like on-line processing, we can arrange for you to receive the desktop pdf Registration form for Condominium Advance Restoration and Emergency System [C.A.R.E.S.]. The later document authorizes employees to initiate an Emergency Service call and sets the rules of processing a water claim in advance. The on-line version provides the information required to be set up in our database but does not authorize employees nor defines what constitutes a standard unit for the class of unit to which it belongs.
When Rainbow International of North York is called in by the Condominium Corporation, our purpose is to mitigate further damage by acting immediately upon arrival. Having an Advance Emergency Service Authorization form signed before an event occurs gives Rainbow the essential information required to correctly handle the claim from start to finish, separating services for improvements. Rainbow performs all services in a professional and competent manner, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, rules and policies.
“What constitutes a standard unit” for your particular Condominium will determine the invoicing requirements. A by-law that removes flooring from the Standard Unit definition, transfers the responsibility for repairs after damage and emergency services to the owner. The unit owner is also responsible for content manipulation, blocking and padding of furniture, removal and resetting of appliances, and/or disposal of improvements and personal contents. Unit owners may also be invoiced for equipment rental necessary for drying (preventing secondary damage) of personal contents, upgrades and improvements. To truly cover the unit owner, insurance should be obtained for all units. Choosing the same insurance carrier as your Condominium Corporation is beneficial.
