Rainbow International Offers Water and Fire Damage Restoration in Metro Houston

December 29th, 2010 by Rainbow International

Helping a home or business owner recover from water, fire, smoke or mold damage requires the latest in technology, tools and training. However, local businessmen Bob Walker and Joe Price know the human touch is equally important during such a time of need.

Walker and Price operate Rainbow International of Metro Houston. Their business offers water, fire, smoke and mold damage cleanup and restoration services as well as carpet, grout and tile cleaning. Communities served include select areas of downtown Houston and portions of Pearland, Kemah, League City, Webster, Seabrook, Pasadena, La Porte and Deer Park.

“I’m excited to bring the Rainbow International way of offering these services to the greater Metro Houston area,” said Walker. “We come equipped with the best training, equipment, technology and systems to help our customers in their time of need. However, we also realize that on many restoration jobs, our customers are experiencing a very real sense of loss and displacement.”

Price added “We never lose sight of that and strive to empathize with them as we work to quickly restore their home or business and, ultimately, peace of mind.”

Walker and Price attended a multi-week immersive learning program at the Rainbow International corporate headquarters training and education center. The program is designed to teach both technical restoration and business development skills.

“Bob, Joe and Rainbow International are a terrific addition of customer service excellence for Metro Houston residents,” said Rainbow International President David Bethea. “We’re excited to have them on the Rainbow International team and know they will do a great job serving their customers.”

Rainbow International of Metro Houston may be reached at (281) 484-4600 or visit rainbowintl.com/metro_houston for more information or to schedule a service appointment.

Rainbow International of Newark (OH) In the News

December 28th, 2010 by Rainbow International

Great excerpt from a news story about a family recovering from a housefire and the excellent work done by Doug and Donna Hamilton (Rainbow International of Newark) to help.

This is a terrific example of living the Rainbow International tagline … We Restore, You Recover.

“From the minute our house fire was put out by Roseville and Crooksville (fire departments), the Red Cross and our insurance company was there right away,” she said. “So were Rainbow International contractors, who completely demolished the house, with only the basement remaining.”

Rainbow International is a professional water, fire and smoke damage and home restoration service. Based in Newark, it is family owned and operated by Doug and Donna Hamilton.

“They nearly lost everything, but some contents were able to be recovered. We cleaned and restored some things, like pictures,” said Doug Hamilton. “The insurance funds were available, so we redesigned the house to be a ranch-style home, and it’s got extra-large doorways for Baylee to get around.”

Thompson said that even before the fire, the family was debating about installing a chair lift in the two-story home to help with Baylee’s mobility.

“We’ve worked with the Thompsons every step of the way,” Hamilton said. “They’re a wonderful family, and it’s an honor they allowed us to do the work for them. I’m glad to be able to take the home they had and turn it into what they dreamed about.”

“A house fire is a traumatic situation, but we’ve given them confidence and a path to recovery, and it actually turned out for the better,” said Nick Hamilton, Doug and Donna’s son, as well as the company’s business development associate who assisted with the Thompson project.

“I’ve heard horror stories of dealing with insurance companies and the sky falling down, but nothing’s fallen yet,” Thompson said. “And there’s three men with Rainbow who are there almost every day. The company is thoroughly organized and met our every need, and we were able to do this within our budget.”

69 Years Later, Voices from Day of Infamy Still Call

December 7th, 2010 by Rainbow International

On this morning 69 years ago, over 2,400 American servicemen and civilians awoke to their last dawn. In a matter of hours, the Japanese surprise attack on the United States at Pearl Harbor had crippled a fleet, snuffed out thousands of lives and forced a slumbering giant into an already-raging global war.

In less than three years, the United States and their allies stood victorious over the Axis Powers in all theaters of the globe. A grateful nation turned its thoughts finally to peace, recovery and progress. However, on days like today, it is vital we all pause, ponder and reflect on the milestones and anniversaries of the past that help chart our path in the future. As the veterans of World War II depart us in ever greater numbers, it falls on succeeding generations to hear the stories, commemorate the fallen and share lessons learned.

This history is not simply black-and-white film footage or scratchy radio recordings. It is the fading memories of heroes from that day. It is the honor and tradition with which we mark the passing years. It is the drops of oil that still rise like silent tears from the wreckage of the battleship USS Arizona, at rest on the bottom of Pearl Harbor, to this day and forevermore the final resting place of 1,177 crewmen.

On this day, we pause to hear their voices. We take a moment to more fully appreciate the valor and sacrifice of heroes, those that fell on a Sunday morning ripped apart by war and those that are still with us. We remember their deeds. We give thanks for our freedoms, so easily taken for granted. We linger to watch blue Pacific waters, timeless and rhythmic yet never capable of fully erasing sights and sounds of the past.

Rainbow International joins with millions of others across the nation in solemn observance of the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
